Course Objectives

This course helps those who in health, social care or children and young people’s settings and other related settings to gain general of how to deal with people with diabetes. The course teaches greater understanding of different types of diabetes and the signs to look out for.  

 

Learning outcomes

At the end of this course, learners must be able to understand:

  • How to identify different types of diabetes.

  • Know warning signs and symptoms of hypo and hyper glycaemia.

  • Strategies to employ as preventative measures.

  • How to manage hypo and hyperglycaemic attacks.

    very nice course. but would have been great if we could have been given some reference material as well.. i took photography course a year ago and i got 8 docs as attachments in different units….i still have it..whenever i need to revise my basics i go through the docs again.
