AUTISM AWARENESS

Course Objective

This course helps those who work with autistic people, especially with children to gain good understanding of meaning and concept of autism spectrum, especially how to effectively support people on the autism spectrum.

At the end of this course, learners must be able to:

• Gain good understanding of meaning and concept of the autism spectrum

• Be able to identify the triad of impairments

• Understand how autism affects people differently

• Have better understanding of theories relating to autism

• Gain practical strategies to support people on the autism spectrum
